Looking at the latest picture in the thread I suspect that I would bend those heel cups where they mount to the heel of the baseplate. It would most likely happen hitting a small windlip in flat light and rolling over the nose or trying to jump off of a small drop and washing out onto the tail.

Looks bomber to me? Besides it looks like Chris shreds pretty hard, i'm guessing he's putting the system through its paces. Besides hard boots this is the only system i would be interested in laying down some serious coin on.

I've bent or broken most of the aluminum bindings I've ever had from Preston, Sims, K2, Drake, and Karakoram. Sometimes it's wear out failure but usually it's from a tumbling fall, a few times it was from landing hard with a lot of forward lean. I'm a skeptic when it comes to metal heel cups. I know it makes sense from a design stand point and I was just offering up some feedback on places to look to reinforce the Ranger bindings. That aside, I do like the direction that they are going, especially with the dynafit standard touring bracket.

I'm not trying to say I'm a bad ass, just heavier than average (200 lbs) and when I was riding a lot harder than I do now I would fall spectacularly.

Thanks Jason this is good feed back. I will be trying different profiled side walls and testing the gear hard, i think any binding should be able to handle going over the handle bars or falling out the back on a drop and still provide good lateral support when riding/skinning.

Cool looking interface, actually not unlike what Sparks was looking at doing with the edison. I like the universal TLT toe piece. It makes me wonder if you're also working on a plate binding that works with your interface. I was also wondering if you're looking at a heel lock in tour mode.

Any idea whey these bad boyz will be available?
