Perhaps for a later prototype, but would having the mount holes/cam section independent of the plate/bails (i.e. regular snowboard bindings or Phantoms) allow for adjustable stance angles? Keep up the solid work! It's a great time to be a splitboarder.

Nice idea, very simple.

I would testride it first, I think it will work.

For improvement or a next prototype I would suggest this:
Use the existing 4x4 holes too, all it takes is to drill another hole and add a screw on each side and you will have a much stronger connection. If youre' using the 4x4 holes, there is no reason why the other holes and the cam can't move more to the outside of the board. This will make it even stronger. Also the slots that rotate untill the screw is lined up will be longer so you will have more material there.

Inspired by vapor's diy HB bindings, here's an update.

First off, no broken board! Or any damage that's visible, I radiused the offending corners and so far so good.
No issues with the cam locks loosening during riding and only "typical" icing concerns.

The biggest improvement was adding a nut to each bail end, so they can't be forced out by lateral pressure :-)

Spent about equal time on resort and in the bc and was equally happy.
I put a lot of thought into making this design adjustable but nothing really elegant came of it. For this board/boot combo it's perfect so I'm happy with the cheap efficiency they provide.
Another (completely different) design is in progress for use with my old voile board 173(umm...now 167 whale) so watch out for that next week :headbang:
