Backcountry Skiers Against Splitboards

I like how they say Splitboards don't belong in the backcountry, but then they support the Snowboard Bans at Alta, MRG, and Deer Valley. Just a plain old we hate snowboarding page.

i'd think that if theyre so concerned about the time it would take for a split partner to dig their asses out of a slide, they might focus more on hazard evaluation, terrain selection, airbag use.... or moving to a coastal snowpack
i guess it is always a slowboarders fault if they get caught in an avalanche, ya gotta point fingers somewhere

I feel bad for that person...If you're that big of a waste of chode skin to create that page, and doctor up a bumper sticker. Their mother obviously beat them for being the "slow child". Either that or a splitboarder gave them a good rough shag one night, and never called them back

If the transition time of the snowboarder that they are relying on to save their bacon in an avalanche is their biggest (and apparently only) argument against splitters, they have bigger issues to deal with.

I assume they're referring to instances where a partner would get caught while another partner was in ski mode, who might then be a little slower to initiate a rescue.

Luckily, I have a guaranteed win-win solution for any skier who doesn't like how fast I can hustle to the rescue. Stay the fuck out of my crew.
