Hey,

I am going to Europe in 2 weeks, specifically Milan and am planning to go riding in the resorts but am contemplating if I should bring my splitboard too. I wont have anyone to go with and was wondering if anyone knew about good guided trips in the Alps.
I am pretty new to splitboarding so dont want anything extreme.

Yes, bring a splitboard.

The southern alps are a little more tricky with the snowconditions, it doesnt dump as often as you'd like. In a west or northern storm the southern alps will not get much snow in general. And that's the predominant direction of snowstorms here.

If it does snow in the south, it's very good indeed.

But Milan had a very good connection by train with many places in Switserland that have better snowconditions overall. A place like Andermatt is easy to reach by train, and catches snow from almost all directions. A guided tour is possible in a lot of resorts too.

Keep an eye on http://wepowder.com/forecast a few days before plannig your trip and trust what they say. It has the most accurate predictions in central Europe for fresh snow.

French site www.skitour.fr has some nice trips too, but you need to read the maps a bit.
Some tours are too steep, or have long flat bits in them which isn't awesome for splitboarding.
