This past weekend in search of some good snow during this Washington dry streak, my buddy pat and I went out to Surprise Lake to see if we could find some powder on some North facing aspects. To our dismay there was a nasty bullet proof ice layer a few inches below the snow, so we ruled that out and rode some proto corn on some West facing lines. Check the video of Pat getting in a long run.

man every time i was out there last winter was nothing but knee deep trail breaking and crazy avy danger! i almost don't recognize it!

No i didn't find it, probably could've spent more time looking though. I'm defiantly gonna head back there soon and find it, that area is so good
