What a great day. After working long hours all week, it was really nice to get out and ride. Great turns with the bros! Thank you for taking pictures HFT.
The 13/14 Phantoms got a nice Tomahawk test at the bottom of Russell E. Face. For those heading out to the Baker splitfest, be sure to stop by and check out Chimera's line up for a preview of some prototype 13/14 Phantoms and some sick Backcountry snowboards.
Came home to work another late night but got some 13/14 bindings send out this morning for testing! Looking forward to spilling the beans...

THX for the pictures HFT! Next time I'll remember my camera, instead of leaving it in the car (sorry guys).
Fun day boyz, I really think we made the very best possible out of a marginal snow conditions day: LEMONADE. At least it is a little colder today, and it is snowing a bit...

is that the furberg board barrows? it looks pretty sweet
Yes, furberg 173 11/12 DIY split with Dynafit toes and Phantoms. The more I ride it, the more I like it. This day was mostly windpack riding, soft enough windpack that one could get an edge in, not super impenetrable windpack, and the furberg ruled it. Higly predictable, easy to either arc or smear turns at will, easy to make long or short radius turns, and very forgiving nose and tail (not hooky or catchy at all). The first run (E. Face of Russell) had a little more solar aspect, and as such the snow surface had a slight suncrust in spots, and a little moisture content (it was a 77 F day in Boulder/Denver), and one can see the runout was full of debris, so the snow was a little grabby-the furberg made it so easy to ride, smoooooth.
I meant to post on this earlier. Some great shots in there, beautiful lines. I have to say the lower extremity range of movement looks superb. Your turns were dynamic, quick and fluid (not to mention steezy). That's based on what I saw in the pics of course not on biomechanics or physics or opinion for that matter.
Take care..look forward to riding with you guys again soon.
