My third day out on the split this season and the first day I rode in snowboard mode. California is having snowboarding withdrawals, finding other stuff to do, or going other places to ride.

We got a lil' bit of snow Thursday night. I asked around to see if anyone had any intel on stashes. Got a few ideas, hatched a plan, threw the board in the truck and went to see what was what. Things started looking good, great, fabulous...

Snow on the ground and more snow all around

Wow looks pretty bleak. Glad to see you at least were able to get out for some fresh air in the mountains.

Yeah, the weather has been pretty. There are some pow stashes out there with some great snow. Have to watch out for rocks, logs, and shruberies.

Thanks for building the Rome for me Aaron, it's been a good board for me.

There is supposed to be a big storm coming this week!!! :bananas:

Update: The season is starting to shape up in Tahoe. We received some sticky icky sierra cement that laid down a nice base, exactly what we needed to get it started in here.

As always enjoying the views

But not for too long, since the wind was nuking.

Schralp carving down the wind buffed.

We scoped some lines to see what was filling in. This one is looking pretty tasty.

Sunday was a nice bluebird day with a little fresh
Image

Fluff, fluff, this is the stuff
Image

Way out in Deso is looking phat and fun
Image

Caught up with Schralp on the second lap just in time to see him dropping in
Image

It's such a beautiful thing to stand on top of a mountain
Image

Fustercluck dropping a very scenic line

There is snow at the trailheads. It's still pretty thin down low. There hasn't been a better season to perfect your schwacking skills. Crawling through head high manzanita is quite an adventure.
