some pics from this past week in the wasatch. wish we had more...
monday was real good in the tri-canyons. new snow and bluebird made for a sweet day.
we caved in and hit powder mountain early thursday morning with it dumping and got a good 6-8" real quick first thing, kept things fun for the day. sun came out and made for a classic spring afternoon. stopped in the shooting star in huntsville for beers and pool.
nope, shots are from big cottonwood, last monday. epic day.
we didn't take any pics at pow mow on thurs, light was flat all morning till the sun broke out early PM. by then we were toast and starting to drink.
lightning ridge/james peak looked tempting, but lots of SE exposure and burried crust with not a whole lotta new snow. there were others taking the tow and dropping in anyway. maybe 6-8" new by noon.
still, great lines over there and well worth the extra $10. you can skin up to james peak after the tow to the pass if you bring your split next time...
