hit up GOS w/ two buds the day after we got back to VT from our winter in Utah on apr 18. sunny, bluebird and highs topping out near 55-60 at elevation. huge high pressure was in place here for two weeks, but now it's raining HARD and starting to change over to snow in the hills. welcome home...

Image

found MAJOR new slide damage in chute #1 from this winter.

Image

we skinned in (no booting allowed on GOS ski trail from pinkham, fyi) and took almost 2 hrs to get to the base of the slide paths. then we booted up 'em.

Image

my buds were a little behind the eight ball and slow, but no worries. we got there and that's what counts. coming in fresh from a winter touring the wasatch, i guess i had a head start on the 9-5ers.

Image

the slide paths are STEEP, just as steep as almost anything in the wasatch. sorry for the skiing pics, but i hold no real prejudice.

a real good day playin in the mashed potatoes back home. i love sloppy seconds... and not a bad way to cap off another epic season.

see you on the flip side kids --

Thanks for the TR, a meal is never complete without some high quality mashed taters run.

Good to see some NH stoke. I'll be heading back to NH on 5/10 for my wedding in Plymouth, won't be getting any turns in, but plan on climbing in Rumney for a couple of days,
