I just returned home from 2 months in costa rica/panama a little over a week ago. It was an amazing trip. But its good to be back on the board and up in the mountains. Heres some pics from the last week or so. Mostly from hatchers pass area.
stairway to heaven.
Little Su valley
This was really good, I made 3 laps on this.
Alpenglow Is a really fun little ski area when the snow is good. Unfortunately it often isnt due to high winds.
Highland Road
I wasnt planing on going this way, but then I saw this dude drop in.
Geuss which track is mine
Another random guy ripping it up.
I rolled up to hatchers to see this guy right next to the track I laid down from 2 days prior. oops :fmicon:
I want this face in the shade.
Looking out towards the matanuska valley.
From the top of microdot, It was windy and cold as hell.
North face of microdot.
Marmot Mountain. Looking to the left.
And the right.
This should be fun.
It was.
Yesterday I skinned all the way to the top of the pass and then my friend rolled up on his sled and gave me a ride to the backside of Skyscraper peak. Here he is dropping off a rock.
My track, It looks better than it is, there was a tricky crust on top, right out of the frame my nose dived and I had a spectacular tumble resulting in a pretty bloody face.
4/23
I just got over a bad cold and after sitting on the couch for 3 bluebird days I got out and hit a fun couloir. Its been really warm, the snows melting fast. There were wetslides everywhere, so I decided to go with a line I knew would still be in the shade for the most part.
Heres the line from the opposite side of the valley from last season.
Looking up it today
Well I fucked this picture up
It was a good time, still some powderish snow with a few firm spots, looks like were in for some weather in the next day or so, hopefully snow!

Great photos and awesome lines.
Looks like destinations of choice are the PNW, BC and AK right now. How is it going elsewhere? CA, AZ, WY, NV, UT, MT? Anyone else still collecting snowflakes for a prolonged season? I'm watching some clouds roll over the Olympics now, bet there will be another 6" tonight, just like the last three nights.

mumbles -- in tetons we are still getting flakes just no big dumps to disquise the crust that is developing from warm temps. Tomarrow morning I am going to ride glory bowl its been snowing about 2" a day for three days with some wind the bowl should be bottomless. outside of that I think most of us are interested in getting corn cycles in the high peaks of the tetons.
