What's up OR Splitfest attendees. Was just at the Baker splitfest, and boy was that fun. Good times! But a hell of a drive from Portland.

I'm working on a basic list of stuff to bring and some directions for y'all, but it pretty much breaks down like this:

It's a rustic A frame from the 30s
$30/person to cover cabin rental for 2 nights
Bring stuff for winter camping minus the tent
Bring food for the weekend
Stays pretty warm in the cabin, and there is a big pot to melt snow for water
Firewood is already cut
We'll be there at the trailhead by 2pm on Friday 4/20 to start hauling in beer. We're planning on bringing a bunch; maybe not enough to keep you lying in a puddle of vomit the whole weekend. So bring a few if you're the thirsty type.

I'll post up directions and final info in a few days here. Also, need to start collecting for the cabin rental. Please paypal $30 to geoff.guillory@gmail.com, and mark it 'personal' please to avoid the fees.

Probably going to miss the Friday morning ascent, don't think I can get out there (drive, park, hike in) in time. Which isn't too bad cause I got some photos to take, just catch up with ya guys Friday night and hopefully the weather will be good for a little climb Saturday.

No worries, I'm not even getting to the trailhead until about 2pm. So we won't be at the cabin until around 5ish anyway.

I'm interested! My only problem is that I might be deployed to CA in the case of a work strike, but I really won't know until the last minute. The union contract expires April 7th. That would be the only thing to prevent me from coming.

I do have my own transportation and an extra spot or 2 for anyone else coming from Seattle area.

Anybody have recommendations for a weekend rental/demo? A buddy is going to check the event out as his first taste of BC oriented riding and prefers not to be on snowshoes
