So we are making the long drive from Vancouver back to Durango, CO and figured we would break it up with some splitting somewhere in the middle. Sun Valley is right in the middle of the trip and I have never rode in ID. Anyone know about the backcountry there or what the snow conditions are like? Thanks for any info!

Thanks for the info. I have heard good things about the Sawtooths as well, just never been through there. Looks like we are only to get a day in Ketchum so may need to be a little selective.

east and west of the road - there is terrain at elevation...
