Hey all,
Newbie here, so apologies for the questions if they sound dumb...
Have spent the past 3 days searching posts for some answers to these questions to no avail.... So any help would be awesome.
Set up:
- Unity Dominion split - Karakoram SL
1. Changing the Chinese hooks to k clips, on the k clips one hole to affix to the bolts in board is smaller in diameter then the others, this means the threaded bolt doesn't slip into the hole.... Can I file this bolt down or open up the hole on the clip so they fit? As I understand I don't need to fit a nut to this bolt.
2. Fixed on the touring plates and when I clip the bindings in place I can't fix down the 'heel lock down' , the riser doesn't reach far enough to allow the lock down to happen... Any suggestions?

a couple of ideas..
1. one hole of each set of the k-clips is threaded.
2. heel risers need to be set with the taller climbing wire forward. to engage the heel lock, pull the climbing wire forward and up, there is a slot that it "clicks" into which positions it to allow the climbing wire to reach the locking pin. it will be tight at first so go easy.

Thanks,
1. Yup, after messing around realised I need to get a 'key' to unscrew the bold from the underside of the board, then can screw the bolt through the threaded hold in the clip.
2. Is as far forward as it will go, but still needs to move about mm further forward... Will leave it for now and see if 'settles' in...
Quick question - is there a decent video tutorial that shows how to mount the base plates....?

Have made the change to the bindings from 'small' to 'large' re boot size (back section of base plate unbolted and slid forward), and now there's not a chance these climbing wires are going to snap into the 'heel lockdown' mode, there's about another 1cm needed....and I can't see where that's going to come from.
Will post some pics shortly., when I figure out how...
