It is that time of year again, and we at Mountain and Terrain Technologies are starting to get inquiries and boards coming in. I just wanted to refresh everyone and also let new users know about our splitboard services. We provide mail order splitboard assembly. Mail us your board, and we will do the rest. We have relocated to SLC, now offer the rotational pucks as an option, and are currently ready to meet demands!

No, like advertising your services in a thread. Have you noticed Thrillhead's ad in Backcountry Magazine? You'll see a little sb.com logo. Now notice how they have free will to promote their product in threads. That's kinda how things work on internet forums, banner ad or not.
Looking at the customer boards on your website it doesn't appear they have metal edges down the middle. Any disadvantages or advantages to this?
Can they be added at additional cost?
Does splitting a solid board soften up the flex much? Thank you.
None of the boards posted on the site have an inside edge. We have experimented in the past with them and found that it isn't worth it or necessary (the amount of work, extra screws, and later delamination). The 90 degree edge created from the cut is fairly sufficient at making a bite and being an "edge". Anything requiring more and you should be using crampons. Many years and many boards split, and I have yet to notice a difference worth mentioning in the integrity of a home splitboard. I am sure others can attest to this. Let us know if there you have anymore questions.
