So psyched that Bryce and Tyler are finally in production. It was two summers ago that I met Bryce while building mountain bike trails in SLC and he mentioned he was working on a little secret project. I was a bit skeptical that he could create something better and different where companies like Burton had failed. Glad to see that he stuck to his dream and got it done.

Just a note, while I do know Bryce, I didn't get any brodeal or anything like that so I guess you can consider me impartial.

I just got these this afternoon and quickly went to work stripping down my 2010 Khyber split (and weighing parts) to install the new hotness. Figured you guys would want some pics.

I've been riding Spark's for the past two seasons (Ignitions and Fuses), my most recent setup was a FrankenFuse (Fuse baseplates, Union force highbacks and ankle straps, and Burton ultra capstraps), along with G3 dual heel risers. My bindings were a little lighter than stock Fuse's (about 40g total). I've been really psyched on Will's work, and will continue to use them along side the Karakoram's this season.

I'm really excited to ride the new setup - it seems like it really clamps the board halves together hard, which hopefully will translate to a more responsive ride. I think they're selling just the clips, which could be a nice upgrade for a Spark setup.

Weights came in really close - the Karakoram setup was 35g heavier than my old setup (complete and ready to ride it was 5930g with the Spark/Voile kit, 5965 with the Karakoram) - one I trim the straps it should be about even. Looks like the new Sparks will be about a half pound lighter, which is pretty significant, but I'm sure Bryce and Tyler will continue to refine and lighten up their setup.

Overall, I'm really impressed with Bryce and Tyler's work - it's a good time to be a splitboarder!
