Hey! Change of plans for me that weekend. Now 90% committed to this event. Sounds awesome.

ALSO, I HAVE A KEG SLED!

Built it for this past New Years from 2 old skis and some lumber. Hauled 2 kegs into an old ski lodge with no problems. Sure beats using a kayak...

This is the kind of event it was made for, though it will be a trail of tears to the top with a full 1/2 keg, that's a lot of elevation...

I think I may need to make a trailing brake like on the proper expedition sleds.

We were up at TJ last spring. Loaded our packs down and skinned up. Toured up past the Guard Station where some guys had snowmobiled in a feast. Jealous.

Nice! We may be able to do a pony keg after all then. What time can you get to the trailhead on Friday 4/20?

Chris, any word yet from Hopworks?

I've got the day off, so whenever. It might be nice to motivate and get some morning laps in at Meadows if the snow's good, too. Got to use that Spring Pass.

Human ingenuity. That sled is money. We may need it to haul Chronic up there as well.

Good to have you back from the dead Mike! Will be great to have you with us.

Also guys, we're gonna have a off duty patroller w us for the weekend as well to help with first aid / pulling kegs etc. He's very nature friendly apparently... :mrgreen: and is a learning splitter as well too I guess.

Bummer!! It turns out I can't make it :( A family emergency has come up and I need to travel to take care of family. Have a blast everyone and please post photos. BTW - the keg sled is awesome - I'm bummed I'll be missing out on seeing it in action.

I love you brother. But I think you might have :guinness: too much last night. That side view post should have been on a sadism/masochism forum. I personally hate when I post to the wrong forum. Just trying to help!
