Rode down to the grubb hut and drank a toast of absinthe to the first skin of the season. Hiked back up Castle pass and the summit ridge, and out Castle proper.

Decided to stay closer to home on Saturday and Sunday, so we played around Tamarack. We weren't expecting much since Rose got half the snow Donner got. We were wrong. Saturday was great. Sunday was warm. The snow in the bowls was still good, but the ride out to the road was starting to get sticky.

Dakota was stoked for 3 days in a row so he hopped.
Maddaroo was tired from 3 days in a row so she sat.

Thanks for posting pictures form the Sierra. I miss Tahoe (and the East side). The snow pack looks pretty good (from the picture)!
